Where is Fox Island?
In the heart of Resurrection Bay
Fox Island is 12 miles from Seward, at 59° 55' 43.00" N, 149° 20' 28.00" W. The island is located in a 24-mile-long estuary that extends from the mouth of the Resurrection River to Harding Gateway (water passage) and Blying Sound (bight). The island is defined by towering sculpted cliffs along the northern shore and craggy outcroppings to the west. The rugged landscape contains protected coves and pebbled beaches which provide shelter for a variety of marine wildlife which make Fox Island their home.
