Getting Here

Fox Island is located 12 miles southeast of Seward, Alaska. Access to Fox Island and the Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge is provided by Kenai Fjords Tours and departs from the port of Seward at 12 noon. As you travel to Fox Island, your captain will provide narration about the scenic landscape and history of Resurrection Bay. Keep an eye out for wildlife too, it's quite common to see otters, Dall's porpoise and even whales before arriving at Fox Island.

Visitors traveling to Fox Island must depart from the seaside town of Seward. Home to just over 3,000 Alaskans, this bustling port town thrives on fishing, tourism, and is a major shipping port and commerical hub for Interior Alaska. This small town offers residents and visitors a full range of private businesses to serve most any need. The recreational opportunities range from kayaking, biking, fishing, day cruises, camping and hiking. Getting to Seward is easy. Just take a plane, train, motorcoach, cruiseship, rent an RV or drive your along the scenic Seward Highway to access one of Alaska's oldest and most scenic communities. Known as the "Gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park", Seward is a picturesque town full of life.

Seward is approximately 125 miles south of Anchorage on the Seward Highway. Kenai Fjords Tours is located at 1304 4th Avenue, in the Seward Small Boat Harbor.
